In late 2016, we were contracted to revamp the 7-year-old website for the Assemblies of God located right in our backyard here in Springfield, Missouri.
Their goals for the project were to simplify the navigation, highlight their most popular content, and create a flexible design that would be used as a general template for the ministries and departments moving forward.
We worked together with their internal team to re-structure their existing navigation. We featured their content with the highest traffic throughout the home page and created design elements that could be re-used throughout their sites and subdomains. We designed several front-end page templates and handed them off to the internal team there to integrate into their enterprise CMS. A few design features include:
- a custom menu structure for each top-level section based on its content
- an article grid with featured content from their different publications as well as integrated ads
- a custom listing for their Events Calendar
- a Church Directory search with listing and detail pages
