We recently had the opportunity to create a logo and identity set for a new church launching in the UK in Cardiff, Wales. Thanks to their local university and recent economic growth, the majority of Cardiff is made up of young people, ages 20-40, so the new church’s identity needed to appeal to these generations. We went with a monochromatic color scheme combined with some subtle textures, architectural elements, and clean typography. The skyline of Cardiff is well-known in Wales, so some of their prominent buildings are featured in the logo, using a sketch-like treatment.
